Thanks for coming to Everyone Romaine Calm!
I’m an American chef currently living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. My passion for cooking began after being diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2003, when I realized if I wanted something I had to make it for myself. After studying and working in accounting, I took a big leap of faith, left the corporate world and became a chef. I am professionally trained by the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. I have worked on the line at a top NY restaurant, in the test kitchen and on set for the Food Network, and have been a private chef. Currently, I work as a freelance recipe developer and food writer. My favorite thing in the world is sharing my food with those around me.
Everyone Romaine Calm started as a social media outlet for me to share my quarantined cooking during 2020 when the whole world changed. After having friends ask for the recipes I was making and as an attempt to have a virtual recipe book, this site was formed. I hope that by following along on Everyone Romaine Calm, home chefs of all experience level can feel confident in the kitchen, hopefully learn a thing or two, and learn to love the art of food and cooking as much as I do!
