Hi!! I’m glad you’ve found your way here!
A little about me
My name is Ali Fagan and I am an American chef currently living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Everyone Romaine Calm started as a social media outlet for me to share my quarantined cooking during 2020 when our whole world changed. After friends began asking for some recipes to make during the lockdowns, I started my instagram as a virtual recipe book and later this site was formed. Now, it is not only a place to share my recipes and source of creative outlet, but I also hope that it serves as a sort of food media portfolio.
After being professionally trained by The Institute of Culinary Education, I have worked in NYC restaurants, the test kitchen of The Food Network, as a private chef, and as both a recipe and food product developer for brands and blogs. Currently, I freelance full-time as a recipe developer, food photographer and food content writer. If you are looking to work together please contact me here!
I live and breath food & beverage and love to share it with the world. If I’m not in my own kitchen, I’m scouring the internet for the latest food trends, reading recipe after recipe or trying out new restaurants. My food journey started when I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2003 and my world turned upside down. The biggest blessing that came from it was that it showed me my passion for food. I specialize in gluten free recipes and aim to show the world that living gluten free doesn’t need to be any different. Whether you’re gluten free or not, I hope that you find some delicious recipes here that you share with family and friends!
*For any work inquires – please note: I have developed plenty of recipes involving gluten, that avoid typical “gluten free substitutes” or are only specifically gluten free. I also have experience and knowledge with various other food intolerances or diets.
If you are ever looking to try something specific or want to work together, please reach out! Any feedback is also greatly appreciated.
